An introduction to the Law of Attraction and how you can start to work with it.

Birds of a feather flock together.
The Law of Attraction, simply summarized, is that like attracts like. The popular saying "birds of a feather flock together" is another way of stating this fundamental truth. It seems so simple, yet the implications of this Universal Law disturb many people's way of thinking, and so they deny themselves the opportunity to use it for their good. But if we suspend judgment and doubt, we can learn to live, think, and feel in harmony with the Law of Attraction, opening ourselves to a new and wonderful life experience.
I've "tried" the Law of Attraction and it didn't work for me!
One of the important things to keep in mind when thinking about the Law of Attraction is that it applies to everything. This means it operates relevant to our thoughts, feelings, words, actions, and intentions, on the conscious and unconscious levels. This is one of the reasons a lot of people have challenges in understanding and applying this law.
We manifest most readily what we are thinking, feeling, and intending on an inner level of our being. Unless our conscious thoughts and feelings are in agreement with what is going on within us, it appears that our outer world is not responding to the Law of Attraction. Many people are not aware of their deeply held beliefs and habitual thoughts and feelings. The Law shows these things to us by manifesting them in our lives.
The Law of Attraction works all the time for everyone in exactly the same way. Only our levels of knowledge, experience, desire, focus, and belief vary, causing some to have spectacular results and others less desirable outcomes. But anyone can learn to be in harmony with this great Law and see its goodness and infallibility in action.
The Law of Attraction is a creative principle, one which allows us to shape the circumstances, events, objects, and relationships in our lives. It is a secondary law, derived from one of the principle Universal Laws, the Law of Resonance (Vibration). These laws are really just aspects of the one great truth, and they are in eternal operation, whether or not we acknowledge them. They are all meant for our good, even though we can choose to operate them in ways that are not good. But let's use our time and energy for wonderful purposes.
Our first exercise in learning to work with the Law of Attraction is a simple one.
If you have never consciously manifested anything before or if you've lost your confidence or faith because you haven't seen the results you were hoping for, this will be great for you. It is a word play.
1. Choose a word that you don't say or hear often, that you like, and that doesn't have a lot of emotional resonance with you. Choose something pleasant or neutral. For example, you might choose mermaid, handkerchief, cerulean, benevolent, or some other word that is not in your everyday vocabulary.
2. Say the word to yourself over and over for a couple of minutes. Write it on a piece of paper and carry it with you secretly. Give yourself a mental image of the word or something closely associated with it. Immerse yourself in the word by repeating it over the next few days when you're looking in the mirror, before you go to sleep, while you're on your commute, etc.
3. Don't tell anyone else what you are doing. You will get a thrill in the near future because someone is going to say this word back to you or you will have an experience connected to this word! Your word will manifest. The more unusual the word, the more fun the game.
Try it and let us know about your experience!
