Enlightened Questioning: The Core Teachings of Michael Bernard Beckwith

One of the luminaries in the contemporary spirituality/ human potential community is Reverend Michael Bernard Beckwith, bestselling author, spiritual leader, and visionary teacher.
Michael is best known for his appearance in the hit movie "The Secret," and is the founder of the inter-faith ministry Agape International Spiritual Center. His teachings are a charismatic melange of Eastern philosophy, esoteric Christianity, New Thought, and spoken word-type poetic discourses. What is especially compelling about his message is one of his core teachings, which relates to the practice of empowered (or enlightened) questioning.
According to Rev Beckwith, the Universe, or Divine Presence of All That Is, answers every question we put to it, whether or not we realize that we are even asking. For example, have you ever asked in a moment of despair or frustration, "Why me?" or "What am I doing wrong?" These types of questions, born of feelings of hopelessness, will draw a corresponding set of circumstances in response that will magnify the beliefs of the questioner. In other words, the Universe will respond to the question by creating more undesirable circumstances that cause you to remain in the same state of mind.
Fortunately, we can always improve our level of clarity and satisfaction by asking empowering questions. As we gain greater and greater awareness of the power of our mind and the ability of the Universe to respond to all questions and requests, we begin to refine our questioning process. It becomes a deliberate spiritual practice that yields ever greater rewards. We also become more finely tuned to the voice of the Infinite as it responds to our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and intentional questions. We are able to hear the Universe's answers in ways that were not obvious to us in the past.
Here are a few higher order questions that invite joyful experiences and expansion as the Universe responds to you.
What would I most love to experience right now?
How can I more fully express the joy, love, and peace that are my Divine identity?
What is the Universe seeking to express through me right now?
How can I become more aware of the abundance that is already mine?
What Divine understanding would make me feel better about where I am in my life?
What wonderful things, people, or events are seeking to become part of my experience now?
